Trans-Century was the top gainer of the day at the NSE on Wednesday. The company gained 10.00 percent at the price of 21.50 shillings per share followed by Standard Group with a gain of 7.77 percent at the price of 21.50 shillings per share.

Kenya Power and Lighting came in third with 6.92 percent at the price of 6.95 shillings per share Stanlib Fahari Income-REIT and Mumias Sugar Company gained 5.99 and 5.56 percent respectively at the price of 11.50 and 0.95 shillings per share respectively.

East African Portland Cement was the top loser of the day. The company lost 9.09 percent at the price of 20.00 shillings per share.

Stanbic Holdings and NIC Bank closed the top five losers of the day on Wednesday with 6.45 and 5.88 percent respectively at the price of 58.00 and 28.00 shillings respectively.
