Diamond Trust Bank Topples NBK to Top the NSE on Friday

The Diamond Trust Bank toppled the National Bank of Kenya to emerge as top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Security Exchange on Friday.

The lender gained 9.52 percent at the price of 160.00 shillings per share followed by Kenya Airways, which has maintained the position it had on Thursday, with a gain of 9.52 percent at the price of 5.75 shillings per share.

Olympia Capital, Eveready East Africa, and Sameer Africa gained 8.51, 8.51 and 8.16 percent respectively at the prices of 2.55, 2.55 and 2.65 shillings per share respectively as shown in the image below:

The top loser of the day was Trans-Century with 9.72 percent at the price of 6.50 shillings per share followed by Longhorn Kenya which lost 6.42 percent at the price of 5.10 shillings per share.

Equity Group, Kenya Commercial Bank, and Barclays Bank lost 5.00, 1.99 and 1.55 percent respectively as shown in the image below:

The table below shows the most traded in shares of the day led by KenolKobil which posted a volume of 65.31 million and a market capitalization of 18.84 billion shillings:
