Sasini Tea and Coffee was the top gainer at the NSE on Monday. The company opened the week by gaining 7.00 percent at the price of 26.75 shillings per share. The second gainer position of the day was taken by Olympia Capital with 6.25 percent at the price of 3.40 shillings per share.
Other top gainers of the day were Longhorn Kenya, Kenya Electricity Generating Company and WPP ScanGroup with 4.85, 4.60 and 4.16 percent respectively at the price of 5.40, 9.10 and 18.80 shillings per share respectively.
The top losers circle was led by Stanlib Fahari Income-REIT with 7.02 percent at the price of 10.60 shillings per share. The second loser of the day was Nairobi Business Ventures with 4.76 percent at the price of 2.00 shillings per share.
Others who dominated the circle were Express, National Bank and Liberty Kenya with 4.48, 3.55 and 2.80 percent respectively at the price of 3.20, 9.50 and 3.55 shillings per share respectively.
Safaricom Limited maintained its position as the top mover, the same position it held the whole of last week. The telecommunication company posted a volume of 9.48 million with a market capital of 1 trillion. ARM Cement was the second top mover with a volume of 2.33 million and a market capital of 12.67 billion.
Equity Group, Kenya Power and Lighting Company and Home Afrika posted volumes of 1.63 million, 809,700 and 555,400 respectively.
