A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize, on the other hand, was being sold with the following market prices in selected towns: 4,800 shillings in Kisumu, 3,500 shillings in Nairobi, 3,200 shillings in Eldoret, 2,800 shillings in Mombasa and 2,500 shillings in Kitale.

A 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts had the following retail prices: 15,400 shillings in Kitale, 13,200 shillings in Nakuru, 12,500 shillings in Nairobi, 12,000 shillings in Kisumu, 11,660 shillings in Mombasa and 11,250 shillings in Eldoret.
