Can you imagine someone with the longest nails in the world? Or rather, have you ever seen someone with fingernails as long as 576.4 centimeters?

Well, according to Guinness World Records for 2018, Ayanna Williams of Houston in Texas is the only living female on earth with the longest fingernails.

It is said that Ayanna has grown her fingernails for more than 20 years and by 7th February 2017, the nails had a combined length of 576.4 centimeters, or an equivalent of 18 feet, 9 inches.

The nails on her left hand are longer than her right, measuring a total of 326.5 centimeters or an equivalent of 10 feet, 8.5 inches compared with 249.8 centimeters or an equivalent of 8 feet, 2.3 inches.

It also takes Ayanna 20 hours and two bottles of nail polish to paint her long talons and she protects them by avoiding to wash dishes and sleeps with them resting on a pillow.

Ayanna became the record holder after Chris, ‘The Dutchess’ Walton from the USA cut her own nails down which had grown to a total length of 731.4 centimeters or an equivalent of 23 feet, 11 inches.
