Kenyans woke up on Wednesday morning to the sad news of the demise of more than 55 people following a tragic road accident at Fort Tenan, Kericho County.
A bus belonging to Western Express that was heading to Kakamega from Nairobi overturned and rolled several times with 64 passengers on board.
Survivors say deaths would have been avoided if there was an immediate response. Most of those who died are said to have bled out to death as there was no one around to help them.
The government has been banning and lifting night travels for public service vehicles and another ban might be announced soon.
The injured are in critical condition.
