Sony Elevates Music Experience In Kenya With The New ULT Series

Sony has announced the highly anticipated launch of its new ULT series of audio products in the Kenyan market, promising an unparalleled bass experience and immersive sound for music enthusiasts and party-goers alike. This innovative lineup includes a range of powerful speakers, complete with a dedicated karaoke microphone, all designed to elevate the listening experience to new heights.
The ULT series is engineered to deliver a profound and impactful bass, a hallmark of Sony’s commitment to audio excellence. Each product in the series features the prominent ULT button, offering users access to two distinct bass modes: Pressing the ULT button gives you access to two exciting bass modes – ULT 1 for deeper, lower frequency bass and ULT 2 for powerful, punchy bass.
“We are thrilled to introduce the ULT series to Kenya, a market with a vibrant and dynamic music culture,” said Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director – Sony Middle East & Africa FZE. “This new lineup embodies our dedication to pushing the boundaries of audio innovation, providing an immersive and visceral sound experience that truly resonates with our customers. We believe the ULT series will redefine how Kenyans experience their favourite music, whether at home, on the go, or at a social gathering, ” he added.
The new ULT series caters to diverse audio needs, from powerful party speakers to portable audio companions:
- ULT Tower 9 and ULT Tower 9AC: The ULT Tower 9 and ULT Tower 9AC offer massive bass and powerful, unrivalled sound pressure in the party speaker model, equipped with fun and convenient features such as karaoke and guitar inputs. With the wireless ULT Tower 9, your music can follow you everywhere, and the AC-powered ULT Tower 9 AC delivers even more powerful sound. Hitting the ULT button gives you access to two exciting bass modes. The party never stops with the ULT Tower 9’s 25-hour battery life, with consumers able to charge their mobile devices with the ULT Tower 9. The ULT Tower 9 AC is also available with an AC connection without a built-in battery, delivering more powerful sound pressure.
- ULT Field 5: The X-Balanced Speaker Unit produces a clear and powerful sound with a tweeter providing a crisp and spacious sound for high frequencies, with passive radiators optimized to enhance bass sound.
- ULT Field 3: Delivering powerful bass in a compact form, the ULT Field 3 is remarkably shockproof, built to withstand the rigors of everyday use and ensure durability.
- ULT MIC 1: Perfect for aspiring vocalists, the ULT MIC1 microphone provides crystal-clear vocals and immerse yourself in the joy of karaoke, designed to pair seamlessly with the ULT Power Sound series speakers.
“This strategic launch in Kenya underscores Sony’s long-term commitment to the East African market, and we anticipate this ULT series will contribute to the local economy through increased retail activity and potential for new distribution partnerships with various dealers. Our investment in this market reflects our confidence in its future and our dedication to providing high-quality products that meet evolving consumer demands.” Haresh Gokaldas, Director – Anisuma Traders Limited.
The ULT Power Sound series is not only designed to deliver powerful sound but also with the environment in mind, with no plastics used in the packaging material for ULT Field 5, ULT Field 3, and ULT Mic 1, reflecting Sony’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its products.
The ULT series will be available at authorized Sony retailers across Kenya from 15th July 2025, ranging from KES 55,000 to KES 135,000.
