New Jumia CEO has kicked off the year with the intent to delight all Jumia customers with free delivery. This is the first move from the company this year among several other initiatives the company is putting together to encourage consumers to continue shopping on the platform while enjoying a rewarding online shopping experience.

“We are in constant communication with our consumers and take their feedback into consideration. Making delivery fees free and affordable to consumers will incentivize them to shop daily on Jumia for their everyday essentials like FMCGs and the usual cupboard items. We are all about pleasing our consumers and this is just one of the ways we hope to can help them shop comfortably and conveniently without having to worry about delivery fees, as they buy more while spending less.” said Jumia Kenya CEO, Betty Mwangi.

Consumers will enjoy free delivery on orders above Ksh 1,000 in Nairobi. All products that qualify for free delivery have a ‘free delivery’ tag on the platform. They include electronics, phones, computing, FMCG’s, power banks, blenders, TVs, groceries, the usual cupboard items.
