As part of GMEA’s plan to grow and expand the Chevrolet brand in Kenya, Pewin Motors will sell and service the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer under the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment, and the Chevrolet Cruze, Aveo and Optra saloon vehicles. Pewin Motors began its motor trade business in 2009 and is currently based in Karen, Nairobi.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, GMEA Managing Director, Rita Kavashe said: “The drive to open up new Chevrolet outlets is in line with our business strategy to provide world-class products to the market through accessible, authorized dealers who meet our GM global standards for quality customer service and aftersales support. We are glad to note that Pewin Motors brings into our network a strong focus on customer satisfaction that is at the core of our business.”
GMEA is currently riding a wave of market dominance in Kenya’s motor industry. The automobile assembler has led in the new vehicle segment for three years in a row since 2012, achieving a market share of 28.7% in 2014.
