Recently, the Kenya Airports Authority Board of Directors sent on compulsory leave the Managing Director and three senior officers to pave way for investigation into various allegations.
In a press statement released by the Board Chairman, Mr. David Kimaiyo, the Board has undertaken its preliminary investigations within the timeframe set out in the Human Resource Manual. Based on preliminary investigations, the board resolved to recall the Managing Director and the other three senior managers. According to the Board Chairman David Kimaiyo, the board is committed to good corporate governance and organizational performance in service delivery in an environment of integrity and efficiency. Further, Mr Kimaiyo said the Board takes cognizance of the Executive Order Number 6 and is committed to ensuring that KAA meets the demands of the constitution and the expectations of Kenyans with regard to ethics and integrity.
Further, the Board is committed to provide world class airport services and is focused on providing necessary facilities to ensure KAA remains a lead driver for the socio economic development of Kenya and its people, and it provides a platform for engagement with the international community.
