The NSE 20 and NASI index declined by 6.03 points and 0.06 points respectively to close at 5,085.40 and 173.14. The highest market gainer of the day was Crown Berger edging up by 12.75 percent to close at KES 115.00, Umeme emerged as the top loser, dipping by 9.57 percent to close the day at KES 17.00.

The volume of shares traded edged up by 224.12 percent to close at 53.91mn, total turnover also rose by 135.91 percent to close at KES 1,484.22mn. Liberty was the overall market mover with a turnover of KES 697.68mn representing 47.01 percent of total market turnover.

Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI gained 0.72 percent and 0.11 percent respectively to close at 2,719.02 and 4,729.41. African Barrick Gold was the top gainer of the day gaining 1.22 percent to close at TZS 8,310.Total volumes were recorded at 4,894 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 13.22mn.
