Secondary Market: Trading in the secondary market mellowed during the week’s final trading session as bond turnover decelerated to KES 250 million with only 2 bond deals transacted. We expect traders to hold positions as they keep an eye on CBK action after the MPC meets on tomorrow.
Money Market: Liquidity in the money market eased signaled by the interbank rate with tracked a downward trend. Meanwhile, the Kenyan Shilling traded with a weakening bias against major international peers. The regulator remained active in the money market as it sought to mop up KES 19 billion from the market.
