Kenyan Stock Market
The NSE 20 and NASI shaved off 39.15 points and 1.45 points respectively to stand at 4,539.47 and 154.25. National Bank went up 6.27 percent to KES 17.80 to emerge as the day’s top gainer. Carbacid emerged the top loser, declining by 6.10 percent to close the day at KES 15.40.
The volume of shares traded went up 55.49 percent to close at 20.82mn. Total turnover rose 44.46 percent to close at KES 530.41mn. Safaricom was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 131.35mn representing 24.76 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 61.36 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 47.05 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI rose 0.44 percent to close at 1,894.03 while USE LSI declined 0.04 percent respectively to close at 331.59. A total of 553,583 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 281.07mn.
Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI declined 1.16 percent and 0.27 percent respectively to close at 209.71 and 143.80. Total number of shares traded today was 252,800 shares. Total turnover come to a close of RWF 70.84mn.
Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI declined 0.28 percent and 0.73 percent respectively to close at 2,557.87 and 4,519.04. Dar es Salaam Community Bank went up 4.07 percent to close at TZS 640.00. Tanzania Portland cement was the top loser of the day declining by 6.71 percent to close at TZS 3,200.00. Total volumes were recorded at 120,385 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 1.13bn.
