Kenyan Stock Market
The NSE 20 and NASI index dropped 20.57 points and 0.30 points respectively to close at 4,499.63 and 154.61. Express gained 9.78 percent to KES 5.05 to emerge as the day’s top gainer. Marshalls E.A emerged the top loser, declining by 10.00 percent to close the day at KES 10.80.
The volume of shares traded lost 55.58 percent to close at 12.84mn. Total turnover dipped by 74.81 percent to close at KES 246.54mn. Safaricom was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 85.64mn representing 34.74 percent of the total
market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 51.66 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 55.76 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI gained 0.75 percent to close at 2,020.83 while USE LSI declined by 0.12 percent to close at 353.91. A total of 7.91mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 5.10bn.
Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI gained 0.62 percent and 0.11 percent respectively to close at 203.96 and 143.17 respectively. Total number of shares traded today was 436,000 shares. Total turnover come to a close of RWF 13.81mn.
Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI declined 0.66 percent and 0.90 percent respectively to close at 2,583.26 and 4,553.12. Tanzania Portland Cement rose by 4.99 percent to close at TZS 3,580.00 to become top gainer. Dar Es Salaam Community Bank declined by 3.13 percent to close at TZS 620.00 emerging as top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 1.62 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 13.81bn.
