In recent years, environmental concerns and compliance activities are increasingly being combined and aligned to some extent in order to avoid conflicts and wasteful overlaps & gaps. Environmental compliance is conforming to environmental laws, regulations, standards and other requirements such as site permits to operate business in a bid to reduce the impact of industrial processes on the environment.

The Environment Compliance training that has been ongoing throughout the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) regional chapters. The training has already been conducted in Kisumu and Nakuru. The next training will be in Nairobi on August 18, 2015 and the last training in Mombasa on August 20th.

Throughout this month, KAM in collaboration with the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) will be carrying out a training exercise on Environmental Compliance for the industry’ sustainable development.
