NSE 20 and NASI index declined 16.37 points and 1.26 points respectively to close at 3,936.60 and 138.28. Liberty rose 4.59 percent to at KES 20.50. Longhorn Publishers declined 9.62 percent to close the day at KES 4.70 becoming today’s top loser.
The volume of shares traded today was 10.36mn. Total turnover stood at KES 199.25mn down 79.92 percent. Safaricom was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 61.60mn representing 30.92 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 73.42 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 43.55 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI declined 0.65 percent to close at 1,801.82 while USE LSI edged up 0.58 percent to close at 371.15. A total of 2.05mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 1.32bn, an increase from the previous turnover.
Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI lost 0.23 percent and 0.04 percent respectively to close at 172.42 and 133.78. Total turnover came in at RWF 7.86mn with 28,100 shares traded.
Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI edged up 0.55 percent and 0.27 percent respectively to close at 2,414.31 and 4,603.04. CRDB Bank went up 1.33 percent to close at TZS 380.00 emerging as top gainer. Total volumes were recorded at 1.04mn shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 14.83bn.
