NSE 20 and NASI index jumped 31.57 points and 1.78 points respectively to close at 3,919.10 and 143.12. Umeme edged up 9.94 percent to close at KES 18.80. Eaagads declined 7.41 percent to close the day at KES 25.00, becoming today’s top loser.
The volume of shares traded today was 12.51mn, valued at KES 313.89mn down 60.23 percent from yesterday’s turnover. E.A. Breweries was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 73.76mn representing 23.50 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 45.66 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 54.99 percent of total turnover

Rwanda: The USE RSI went up 0.06 percent to close at 164.37 while RSE ALSI declined 3.62 percent to close at 132.78. Total turnover came in at RWF 143,200 with 600 shares traded.
Tanzania: The DSEI dropped 0.02 percent to close at 2,336.40 while DSE TSI went up 0.61 percent to close at 4,665.85. Tanzania Portland Cement went up 8.28 percent to stand at TZS 3,400.00 emerging as today’s top gainer. African Barrick Gold declined 1.32 percent to end the day at TZS 5,230 to be the top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 1.97mn shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 829.034mn.
