Kenyan Stock Market
NSE 20 declined 0.62 points to close at 3,990.02 while NASI index gained 0.32 points to close at 143.61. Olympia Capital gained 7.32 percent to close at KES 4.40. Eaagads lost 9.09 percent to end at KES 20.00, becoming today’s top loser.
The volume of shares traded today was 36.78mn, valued at KES 938.21mn a 25.44 percent Friday’s turnover. Safaricom was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 333.51mn representing 35.55 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 90.71 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 86.39 percent of total turnover.
EAC Markets
Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI went up by 0.24 percent and 1.31 percent to close at 1,731.80 and 385.27. A total of 2.37mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 1.55bn.
Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI remained constant to close at 146.99 and 130.62.
Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI shaved off 1.27 percent and 0.67bn percent to close at 2,356.16 and 4,582.52. Tanzania Portland Cement declined 9.60 percent to end the day at TZS 3,000.00 to be the top loser. Total volumes were recorded at 3.52mn shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 51.99bn.
