Kenyan Stock Market
NSE 20 shaved off 26.88 points to close at 3,968.20 while NASI index went up 0.04 points to close at 144.76. Liberty edged up 3.85 percent to close at KES 18.90. Kenya airways lost 5.26 percent to stand at KES 4.50, becoming today’s top loser.
The volume of shares traded today was 17.04mn, valued at KES 513.77mn a 29.28 percent decline from Friday’s turnover. Safaricom was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 181.50mn representing 35.33 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 80.10 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 38.95 percent of total turnover

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI rose by 1.27 percent and 2.20 percent respectively to close at 1,797.62 and 393.80. A total of 29.35mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 960.1179mn.
Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI remained constant to close at 146.99 and 130.62.Total number of shares traded today was 103,500 resulting to a total turnover of UGX 28.98mn
Tanzania: The DSEI lost 1.20 percent to end at 2,359.30 while DSE TSI gained 0.47 percent to close at 4,571.06. Africa Barrick Gold declined 3.92 percent to close at TZS 5,630.00, National Microfinance Bank gained 3.40 percent to close at TZS 2,740.00. Total volumes were recorded at 108,052 shares. Total turnover
closed at TZS 280.11mn.
