NSE 20 and NASI index was up 18.68 points and 0.06 points respectively to close at 4,008.63 and 145.61. Sasini went up 8.43 percent to close at KES 22.50. Sameer declined 7.50 percent to stand at KES 3.70, becoming today’s top loser.

The volume of shares traded today was 21.04mn, valued at KES 655.97mn, a 4.11 percent increase from Friday’s turnover. Equity Group was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 444.08mn representing 67.70 percent of the total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 26.17 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 23.40 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI declined 1.89 percent and 0.38 percent respectively to close at 1,756.69 and 406.58. A total of 73,850 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 317.04mn.

Rwanda: The USE RSI and RSE ALSI remained constant to close at 146.99 and 130.62.

Tanzania: The DSEI gained 0.41 percent to close at 2,303.28 while DSE TSI shaved off 0.13 percent to end the day at 4,502.85. Africa Barrick Gold gained 8.23 percent to close at TZS 5,390.00, while CRDB Bank dropped 1.23 percent to close at TZS 400.00. Total volumes were recorded at 81,231 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 41.51mn.
