Kenyan Stock Market
NSE 20 and NASI index shaved off 35.79 points and 1.92 points respectively to close at 3,918.75 and 142.85. TransCentury gained 9.22 percent to close at KES 7.70. Atlas Development declined 8.57 percent to stand at KES 1.60, becoming today’s top loser.
The volume of shares traded today was 27.45mn, valued at KES 1,067.31mn, a 19.99 percent increase from yesterday’s turnover. Equity Group was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 751.70mn representing 70.43 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 16.34 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 22.54 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI declined 1.21 percent to close at 1727.88 while USE LSI remained constant to close at 406.58. A total of 38,809 shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 9.02mn.

Tanzania: The DSEI gained 2.26 percent to close at 2,373.21 while DSE TSI remained constant to end the day at 4,498.34. Africa Barrick Gold gained 5.76 percent to close at TZS 6,060.00. Total volumes were recorded at 40,980 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 129.03mn.
