Charles Owaga Mang’ee Steps Down as CEO of Prudential Life

Prudential Life Assurance Kenya, a subsidiary of Prudential plc, today announces that Charles Owaga Mang’ee has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive with immediate effect.

Andrew Greenwood, Chief Operating Officer of Prudential Africa, has become Interim Chief Executive of Prudential Kenya, alongside his current duties. A permanent successor will be announced in due course.

Mr Greenwood has worked in life insurance for more than 25 years and has held leadership positions in insurance companies in Kenya for more than 10 years.

Mr Mang’ee will continue to work with Prudential Kenya as a Senior Adviser.

Matt Lilley, Chief Executive of Prudential Africa, said: “I would like to thank Charles for his contribution to Prudential Kenya’s development. It is now in a strong position to meet the long-term savings needs of people throughout the country. I am also delighted that someone with Andrew Greenwood’s experience and skills will take the business forward until a permanent successor is appointed.”

Charles Owaga Mang’ee said: “Prudential Kenya is now well positioned for growth. This is the right time for me to take the next step in my career, and I would like to offer my best wishes to all of my colleagues at Prudential Kenya.”
