NSE 20 and NASI index shaved off 6.44 points and 0.77 points respectively to stand at 4,005.22 and 145.31. B.O.C Kenya went up 10.00 percent to close at KES 110.00. KenGen declined 7.74 percent to stand at KES 7.15, becoming today’s top loser.
The volume of shares traded today was 18.24mn, valued at KES 612.07mn, a 67.55 percent drop from yesterday’s turnover. E.A. Breweries was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 316.66mn representing 51.74 percent of the total market turnover.
Foreign buys stood at 77.93 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 80.88 percent of total turnover.

Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI shaved off 0.52 percent and 0.05 percent respectively to end the day at 2,339.82 and 4,507.74. Africa Barrick Gold lost 2.33 percent to close at TZS 5,460.00, while Swissport Tanzania gained 0.14 percent to close at TZS7360.00. Total volumes were recorded at 198,701 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 276.97mn.
