The 1st International Islamic Finance Conference will be held in Nairobi Kenya which is considered as the capital financial hub as well as the main gateway of entering into the business world in Eastern and Central Africa.
The Conference is set to be held at the Radisson Blu situated in the financial district of Nairobi on the 25th to 26th January 2016.
Kenya was on the world map the better part of last year for having hosted key world events. The first one was Global Entrepreneurial Summit that was presided over by President Barrack Obama, the second was the hosting of the Pope Francis and the third one was the hosting of the first ever in Africa 10th Ministerial WTO conference.
Over the years now, Africa has been identified as the last frontier for Islamic Finance with not only the potential to contribute significantly to the development of the region but the world at large.
The search for an alternative source of resource mobilization is a collective responsibility. Kenya as a financial leader in East and Central Africa looks to spur this discourse of tapping into the growth of 2 Trillion Dollar Industry that can be the answer to the infrastructure & overall development needs of the region.
