A 50kg bag of red Irish Potatoes is retailing at Sh. 3,200 in Kisumu and this is the highest market price across the country as compared to other towns. The same quantity is currently going at Sh. 2,300 in Nairobi. A 98g bag of Sweet Potatoes on the other hand is being sold lowest in Kisumu, where it goes at Sh. 1,800.
Cassava lovers can be able to get a 99kg bag at Sh.3,000 in Nairobi, Sh.2,700 in Mombasa, Sh.1,800 in Kisumu, Sh.2,500 in Kitale and Sh. 4,500 in Kitui.

Vegetables are a necessity in any meal, thus, you can be able to get yourselves either cabbages or Kales as they are in plenty in some of the markets across the country and at affordable prices. A 126kg bag of Cabbages is being retailed at Sh.3,700 in Mombasa, Sh.3,000 in Kitale, and Sh.1,200 in Kisumu and Nakuru respectively.
