Being a leader is something that comes along with a lot of responsibilities. There is so much that anyone who leads is expected of and this means that they need to have a dream that is larger than those who they are leading. When you have higher dreams than those whom you lead, this means that they will also be inspired to dream big. Some leaders are born while other are made, but it all depends on ones’ skills of handling issues and people.
Leadership is about working with people to do new things in a world which is increasingly complex and fast changing. It is embedded in every one of us, but the key is to unlock our personal passion which will give us the courage to do things that appear difficult, uncertain or even unpopular
This is why the African Biblical Leadership Initiative (ABLI), whose theme is “Transforming Leadership in Africa” (Romans 12:2), decided to come in and act as a change for African leaders and the Africa Society at large. It does this through the application of Biblical principles to empower and inspire leaders of all backgrounds to address specific challenges within their communities
ABLI conference is here to help make a change to Leaders across Africa, and especially in Kenya. It comes at such an appropriate time when the General elections are just around the corner. Our political leaders need to be enlightened on key leadership skills that will enable them make a change in the country the Biblical way.
ABLI will provide leaders with an opportunity to network and exchange ideas on a wide range of issues pertinent to African cultures. The main of the conference is to empower leadership at all levels in Africa with Biblical values which foster integrity in leadership.
Leadership is one of the bans of under-development in Africa and everything stands or falls on leadership. The African Biblical Leadership Initiative has been on the fore front in promoting the vision that promoting Biblical truths and good leadership would eventually lead to the socio-economic development of the continent.
Among those expected to attend the conference include Leaders in Government, Industry, the Media, Education Sector, the Society and family leaders. Areas to be covered in relation to the theme of the Conference will include renewing, testing and discerning, celebrating Africa, engaging youth leadership, integrity, stewardship i.e. the leadership core, embracing diversity in leadership and transforming vs conforming.
