Red Irish potatoes are retailing at Sh.3,000 for a 50kg bag in Kisumu. The same quantity is going for Sh.2,500 in Nairobi and Mombasa and Sh.1,600 in Eldoret.
On the other hand, 98kg of sweet potatoes had a market price of Sh.2,600 in Nairobi and Eldoret, Sh.2,500 in Kisumu and Sh.2,200 in Mombasa. The table below summarizes market prices for different commodities in different towns across the country.
A 142kg bag of was being sold at Sh.3,800 in Mombasa, which was the highest market price as compared to other towns. The same goes at Sh.2,500 in Kisumu, Sh.2,300 in Nairobi, Sh.1,400 in Eldoret and Sh.1200 in Nakuru.
Anyone interested in tomatoes can be able to get a 64kg bag at Sh.5,600 in Eldoret, Sh.4,000 in Nairobi, Sh.3,200 in Mombasa; Sh.3,000 in Kisumu and Sh.2,500.
