The Kenya Film Classification Board plans to sue Kenya Breweries ltd for failure to withdraw unclassified adverts.
According to KFCB, KBL has refused to withdraw its beer adverts by December 30 as agreed.
“KFCB orders beer companies to withdraw unclassified alcohol adverts in 7 days or face prosecution,” the board announced on its Social Media feed.

The order targets KBL’s adverts of Tusker Cider and Tusker Lite products that continue to be advertised over the watershed period.
KFCB says they have been in engagement with the companies following their notices dated December 10 and 21. However, some had not complied.
