A 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts was retailing highest in Mombasa at 16,400 shillings and lowest in Karatina where it had a market price of 1,500 shillings.
A 90-kilogram bag of green gram on the other hand was being sold as follows in selected towns across the country: 13,500 shillings in Eldoret, 9,600 shillings in Kisumu, 9,000 shillings in Kitui, 8,900 shillings in Nairobi, 8,500 shillings in Nakuru, 8,000 shillings in Karatina and 7,650 shillings in Mombasa.

Dry maize still holds onto its high prices as compared to 2016 as a 90 kilogram bag is being sold at a market price of 3,700 shillings in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kitui respectively making it the highest price. The same quantity is going at 3,600 shillings in Kisumu and Karatina, 3,000 shillings in Eldoret and 2,800 shillings in Nakuru.
A 115-kilogram bag of green maize is being sold as follows: 5,600 shillings in Mombasa, 2,400 shillings in Kisumu, 2,200 shillings in Nairobi, 2,160 shillings in Eldoret, 2,000 shillings in Karatina, 1,800 shillings in Nakuru and 1,200 shillings in Kitui.
