Finger Millet Retailing Highest in Kisumu and Lowest in Malindi

A 90-kilogram bag of finger millet was being sold at an average market price of 8,263, with the highest price being 9,200-shilling sin Kisumu and the lowest 7,500 shillings in Malindi.

Dry maize, on the other hand, is still holding onto the not less than 4,000 shillings’ price for a 90-kilogram bag across the country. This is how the prices faired on: 4,800 shillings in Kisumu and Nairobi respectively, 4,550 shillings in Mombasa, 4,500 shillings in Kitale and 4,000 shillings in Nakuru and Eldoret.

An 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts was being retailed as follows across the country: 17,400 shillings in Malindi, 14,300 shillings in Mombasa and Kitale respectively, 12,500 shillings in Nairobi, 12,100 shillings in Nakuru, 12,000 in Kisumu and 11,250 shillings in Eldoret.

A 90-kilogram bag of green grams, on the other hand, had the following market prices in selected towns: 12,600 shillings in Eldoret and Kitale, 10,800 shillings in Malindi, 8,800 shillings in Kisumu, 7,600 shillings in Nakuru and 7,200 shillings in Mombasa.
