Sorghum Retailing Highest in Eldoret and Lowest in Mombasa

A 90-kilogram bag of sorghum was retailing highest in Eldoret at 6,300 shillings and lowest in Mombasa at 3,150 shillings.

A 90 kilogram of finger millet, on the other hand, was being retailed as follows: 9,600 shillings in Kisumu, 9,000 shillings in Mombasa, 8,100 shillings in Eldoret, 7,800 shillings in Nairobi, 7,200 shillings in Kitale and 7,000 shillings in Nakuru.

A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize has reduced in price in most parts of the country as compared to two months ago and it goes for as little as 2,300 shillings in Kitale as shown in the table below:

A 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts was being sold as follows in selected towns: 14,300 shillings in Kitale, 12,000 shillings in Kisumu, 11,550 shillings in Mombasa, 11,250 shillings in Nairobi and Eldoret respectively and 11,000 shillings in Nakuru.

A 90-kilogram bag of both Rosecoco and Mwitemania beans had almost the same market prices with a very slight difference in Mombasa and Nairobi. Nakuru, Eldoret, and Kitale had the same market prices for both types of beans at 5,500, 10,800, and 4,500 shillings respectively.

A 90-kilogram bag of Njahi was being sold as follows: 13,500 shillings in Eldoret, 10,800 shillings in Kitale, 9,000 shillings in Nairobi and Nakuru respectively and 8,100 shillings in Mombasa.
