Sweet Potatoes Retailing at an Average Ksh 3,300 in Kenya

A 98 kilogram bag of sweet potatoes was retailing at an average market price of 3,300 shillings. The highest price was 3,800 shillings in Mombasa while the lowest was 2,000 shillings in Kitale.
A 50 kilogram bag of irish potatoes on the other hand was being sold as follows: 2,000 shillings in Eldoret and Kitale, 1,800 shillings in Nairobi, 1,500 shillings in Mombasa and 1,200 shillings in Kisumu.
Fresh cassavas, ripe bananas and chillies were also available in the market and the prices were as shown in the table below:

A 126 kilogram bag of cabbages was selling as follows in selected towns across the country: 2,400 shillings in Mombasa, 1,800 shillings in Kitale, 1,400 shillings in Eldoret, 1,300 shillings in Nairobi and 1,200 shillings in Kisumu and Nakuru respectively.
A 142 kilogram bag of spring onions on the other hand was being sold as follows: 3,500 shillings in Mombasa, 3,000 shillings in Kitale, 2,200 shillings in Nairobi and Kisumu respectively, 1,200 shillings in Eldoret and 1,000 shillings in Nakuru.
