Treasury bonds listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) recorded a gain of 1.1 percent in July according to the FTSE NSE Bond Index.
The secondary bond market recorded reduced activity during the month of July, with turnover dropping by 41.3 percent to Kshs 33.4 bn in the month of July, from Kshs 57.0 bn recorded in June.
The yields on government securities declined since the beginning of the year, and during the month of July, as highlighted in the yield curve below.
