A large box of tomatoes is currently retailing highest in Eldoret and Kisii respectively at 9,500 shillings according to data from the Agriculture and Food Authority.
The data stated that tomato price was as follows in selected towns across the country: 6,200 shillings in Nairobi, 6,400 shillings in Mombasa, 7,000 shillings in Kisumu, 6,000 shillings in Nakuru, 3,200 shillings in Malindi and 8,000 shillings in Kitale.
A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize, on the other hand, is being sold as follows: 3,600 shillings in Nairobi, 3,200 shillings in Mombasa, 4,800 shillings in Kisumu, 3,000 shillings in Nakuru and Kisii respectively, 4,000 shillings in Eldoret, 4,050 shillings in Malindi and 2,450 shillings in Kitale.

The data further showed that the average market price for ex-factory sugar stands at 4,300 shillings.
Wholesale commodity prices for wheat is 3,300 shillings in Eldoret and 6,000 shillings in Malindi for every bag.
