Dry Maize Retailing at an Average Market Price of Ksh. 3,050

A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize was retailing at an average market price of 3050 shillings across the country, with the highest price being 3,600 shillings in Nairobi and Kisumu respectively and lowest price being 2,500 shillings in Kitale.

Sorghum, on the other hand, was being sold as follows for a 90-kilogram bag, 7,200 shillings in Eldoret, 5,200 shillings in Nairobi, 4,800 shillings in Kisumu, 4,500 shillings in Garissa and 3,600 shillings in Mombasa and Nakuru respectively.

A 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts was being sold at a market price of not less than 11,000 shillings across the country as shown in the table below, with the highest price being 17,600 shillings in Garissa and lowest price standing at 11,250 shillings in Eldoret.

A 90-kilogram bag of cowpeas was being retailed as follows: 9.600 shillings in Kisumu, 8.550 shillings in Nairobi, 8,100 shillings in Nakuru, 8,000 shillings in Kitale, 7,200 shillings in Eldoret and Mombasa respectively and 6,500 shillings in Garissa.
