Home Afrika was the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Security Exchange on Monday. The company gained 9.09 percent at the price of 1.20 shillings per share.
BOC Kenya was the second top gainer of the day with 6.80 percent at the price of 110.00 shillings per share. Unga Group and Sameer Africa tied at 5.00 percent at the price of 31.50 and 3.15 shillings per share respectively.
Trans-Century closed the top five gainers of the day with 4.76 percent at the price of 6.60 shillings per share.
Total Kenya was the top loser of the day. The company lost 6.25 percent at the price of 22.50 shillings per share.
Olympia Capital, Standard Chartered Bank, and NIC Bank lost 3.23, 3.08 and 1.99 percent respectively while ARM Cement lost 1.46 percent at the price of 13.50 shillings per share.
The top movers’ shelve was dominated by Safaricom Limited. The telecommunication company posted a volume of 9.96 million followed by Co-operative Bank of Kenya with a volume of 2.62 million.
Kenya Commercial Bank and East African Breweries posted a volume of 2.55 and 1.07 million in volumes respectively. Home Afrika, which carried the day at the top gainer, also features among the top movers of the day with 889,100 in volumes.
