Kenya Commercial Bank Top Gainer at the NSE – Wednesday

Kenyan Stock Market Exhibited a Downward Trend in October top Safaricom Plc Top

Kenya Commercial Bank was the top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. The banker gained 9.87 percent at the price of 41.75 shillings per share.

Equity Group was the second top gainer with 9.21 percent at the price of 41.50 shillings per share followed by Car and General (K) with 9.09 percent at the price of 24.00 shillings per share.

Nairobi Business Ventures and Sanlam Kenya gained 7.69 and 7.41 percent respectively at the price of 2.10 and 29.00 shillings per share respectively.

The East African Portland Cement was the top loser of the day. The company lost 8.16 percent at the price of 22.50 shillings per share followed by Kapchorua Tea Company with a loss of 7.50 percent at the price of 74.00 shillings per share.

Eveready East Africa, CIC Insurance Group, and Standard Group lost 4.35, 3.39 and 2.78 percent respectively at the prices of 2.20, 5.70 and 35.00 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom Limited came back as the top mover of the day after being out of the position for two days. The telecommunication company posted a volume of 12.49 million followed by Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Kenya Commercial Bank with 5.84 and 5.20 million respectively.

Equity Group and KenolKobil posted 4.24 and 1.97 million in volumes respectively.
