Cement manufacturer ARM Cement emerged as the top gainer of the day after lagging the better part of the week.

The company gained 10.00 percent at the price of 12.65 shillings per share tying in the same position with Uchumi Supermarket at the price of 3.85 percent.

Trans-Century and Sameer Africa gained 8.80 and 7.41 percent respectively at the price of 6.80 and 2.90 shillings per share respectively.

Standard Group was also among the top gainers with 7.14 percent at the price of 37.50 shillings per share respectively.

Car and General (K) was the top loser of the day. The company lost 8.70 percent at the price of 21.00 shillings per share.

Eaagads and National Bank lost 8.26 and 4.55 percent respectively at the price of 25.00 and 9.45 shillings per share respectively.

Mumias Sugar Company and Sasini Tea and Coffee lost 4.35 and 3.70 percent respectively at the price of 1.10 and 26.00 shillings per share respectively.

Safaricom Limited was the top mover of the day. The telecommunication company posted a volume of 19.07 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.08 trillion.

Kenya Power and Lighting and Kenya Commercial Bank posted 6.15 and 1.75 million shares respectively while Equity Group and KenolKobil posted 1.25 and 1.20 million shares respectively.
