Domestic gun crimes in the United States of America results in a significantly higher death toll than terrorism.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Americans are killing themselves more than they are being killed by terrorists both within and without the USA.
Between 2001 and 2014, a total of 440,095 American deaths were caused by firearms on US soil. During the same period, 3,412 deaths of US citizens – home and abroad – were reported having been caused by terrorism.
