There was a rumor that China had overtaken the United States of America as the largest economy in the world.
The rumor does not hold any water for according to the International Monetary Fund World Outlook, the USA has the world’s greatest GDP.
The USA is said to have had USD 18.561 trillion of GDP as of October 2016. This figure represents 24.7 percent of global GDP.
China is the second largest economy in the world with USD 11.391 trillion GDP with Japan coming in third.
