The market turnover at the bourse rose by 288.6 percent on Wednesday to close the day at USD 13.87 or an equivalent of 1,429.8 million shillings as compared to trading on Monday.
The NSE 20 and NASI dropped by 0.56 percent and 1.06 percent respectively to close the day at 3,710.83 and 174.14 respectively.
Foreign investors assumed a net buying position by accounting for 78.4 percent of total market purchases and 59.9 percent of total market sales.
The Kenyan shilling slightly weakened against the US Dollar but still remain resilient as the market moves on. Against the US Dollar, the Kenyan Shilling weakened by 0.03 percent from Monday’s level to 103.11.
Against the Sterling Pound, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened 0.31 percent from Monday’s level to 137.89.
Against the Euro, the Kenyan Shilling weakened 0.29 percent from Monday’s level to 121.55.
