Kenyan Stock Market Exhibited a Downward Trend in October top Safaricom Plc Top

The top gainer of the day on Tuesday at the Nairobi Securities Exchange was Sameer Africa with 9.80 percent at the price of 2.80 shillings per share.

The second top gainer of the day was Sasini Tea and Coffee with 5.88 percent at the price of 27.00 shillings per share.

Sanlam Kenya, Nation Media Group and TPS Easter Africa (Serena) gained 5.36, 3.57 and 2.86 percent respectively at the price of 29.50, 116.00 and 36.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top loser of the day was Olympia Capital with 8.70 percent at the price of 3.15 shillings per share.

NIC Bank was the second top loser of the day with 4.26 percent at the price of 33.75 shillings per share.

Kenya Airways, Nairobi Business Ventures, and BOC Kenya lost 4.09, 3.23 and 2.80 percent respectively at the price of 16.40, 3.00 and 104.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom with a volume of 7.30 million shares at a market capitalization of 1.14 trillion.

Equity Bank Group and Kenya Commercial Bank posted 2.30 and 1.74 million shares at a market capitalization of 160.38 and 137.97 billion respectively.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company and NIC Bank posted 1.13 million and 682,800 shares with a market capitalization of 17.47 and 21.60 billion respectively.
