Did You Know: It Snowed in the Sahara for the First Time in History?

Did you know that for the first time in history it snowed in the Sahara Desert?

For those who don’t know about the Sahara, this is a desert whose temperatures range from 30 Degrees Celsius to over 40 Degrees Celsius every single day.

The town of Ain Sefra, on the edge of the Sahara desert, was hit by icy weather last week and even snow.

Snow is a very rare occurrence in the Sahara given that there is never enough water to form moisture despite the fact that at night, temperatures can go as low as 5 Degrees Celsius.
