Did you know that Uganda has had more president than any other country in East Africa and perhaps in the whole of Africa?
Well, according to available records, since independence, Uganda has been ruled by seven presidents.
The seven presidents are President Sir Edward Luwangula Walugembe Muteesa II, Apollo Milton Obote, Idi Amin Dada, Yusuf Kironde Lule, Godfrey Lukongwa Binaisa, Tito Okello and yours truly, the man who has refused to retire, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
What is more interesting is that President Yusuf Kironde Lule ruled the country for only two months. Well, since Museveni has refused to retire, maybe other countries will try to break the record before he ‘dies’ and somebody else takes over.
