Chief Justice David Maraga has made changes in the judiciary in a move seen as trying to ‘fix’ or ‘neutralize’ the judiciary.
The controversial judge Justice George Odunga has been moved from JR Division in Nairobi to a Presiding Judge in Machakos High Court.
Judge Odunga was at loggerheads with the Jubilee Government during the 2017 electioneering period where he was seen as leaning towards the opposition.
Justice Richard Mwongo has been moved from PJ Milimani Law Courts to Naivasha High Court as Presiding Judge.
Lady Justice Pauline Nyamweya and Lady Justice Christine Meoli have been moved from Machakos High Court and Naivasha High Court to JR Nairobi (Presiding Judge) and Kiambu High Court (Presiding Judge) respectively.
