Telkom Kenya has launched a promotion dubbed ‘Form ni 50’ meant to reward their subscribers as they celebrate attaining almost 4 million customers within Q1, 2018.
Every weekday, over the next 10 weeks, a Telkom subscriber will be driving home a Toyota Belta according to a statement released by the telecommunication company.
Speaking at the launch of the Top-up and Win promotion, Telkom Chief Marketing Officer, Levi Nyakundi said that since the launch of their new brand last year, they had recorded a surge in the number of subscribers.
Nyakundi added that their goal is to increase the number of subscribers and drive usage by consistently delivering real value to their subscribers as well as through sustained investment in infrastructure to deliver the best network quality.
“2017 saw us complete the first phase of our National backbone and metropolitan transmission network and invest 5 billion shillings towards network modernization leading to the launch of our 4G network, which is currently available in 32 towns and urban centers across the country,” said Nyakundi.
Nyakundi further disclosed that the telco has doubled its capacity and coverage on its 3G Network, thus improving customer experience.
“We have revamped our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and are also continually working on increasing our retail outlets in order to provide great customer experience,” said Nyakundi.
Telkom is now gearing for the second phase of investment with regard to network modernization and expansion.
The latest statistics from the Communications Authority of Kenya showed that mobile subscriptions for the first quarter of 2017/2018 saw Telkom post the highest growth in the industry to stand at 3.4 million subscribers.
According to Nyakundi, the telco is implementing a 360-degree customer-centric strategic approach to its operations aimed at sustaining a superior customer experience on the network.
The promotion is open to all Telkom prepaid customers who have to top up with at least 20shillings airtime to gain a single entry into the daily draws, 50 shillings for 3 entries, 100 shillings for 8 entries, 500 shillings for 50 entries, 1,000 shillings for 100 entries and above 3,000 shillings for 300 entries.
