National Bank of Kenya moved from the top loser position on Monday to the second top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange on Tuesday.
The lender gained 7.83 percent at the price of 8.95 shillings per share followed by Kapchorua Tea Kenya with 5.71 percent at the price of 74.00 shillings per share.
The top gainer of the day was Express with 9.76 percent at the price of 4.50 shillings per share.
Deacons (East Africa) and Sasini Tea and Coffee gained 5.26 and 5.00 percent at the price of 3.00 and 26.25 shillings per share respectively.
The top laggard position was held by Trans-Century with 17.54 percent (the highest percentage loss at the NSE this year) at the price of 4.70 shillings per share.
Jubilee Holdings, British American Tobacco, and Sanlam Kenya lost 4.54, 2.86 and 1.82 percent at the price of 505.00, 680.00, and 27.00 shillings per share respectively.
The top mover of the day was Safaricom PLC which sold 7.54 million shares. Equity Group and Kenya Commercial Bank sold 3.84 and 2.55 million shares respectively.
HF Group and Barclays Bank, on the other hand, sold 676,300 and 664,100 shares respectively.
