Diamond Trust Bank is set to take over the ailing Imperial Bank that has been under receivership for the last two and a half years.
Although the Central Bank of Kenya has not made this public, people aware of the deal have told Bloomberg Markets that the matter is already done and Imperial Bank will soon have a new owner.
If the word in the air is true, then DTB will acquire both the assets and liabilities of Imperial Bank.
