Against the US Dollar, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened 0.02% from Wednesday’s level to 100.43 (2.7% year-to-date).
Against the Sterling Pound, the Kenyan Shilling weakened 0.23% from Wednesday’s level to 135.57 (2.29% year-to-date).
Against the Euro, the Kenya Shilling strengthened 0.31% from Wednesday’s level to 118.48 (3.89% year-to-date).
Kenyan Stock Market:
Market turnover at the bourse dropped 7.9% to USD 5.57 MN (KES 559.2 MN) from Wednesday’s trading.
NSE 20 dropped 0.38% to close at 3,519.78 while NASI rose 0.64% to close at 178.76.
Foreign investors assumed a net selling position by accounting for 67.3% of total market sales and 25.6% of total market purchases.
EAC Markets:
Rwanda: RSI and ALSI remained at 132.34 and 133.05 respectively.
Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LCI recorded a 0.55% and 0.98% drop to close at 2,165.42 and 413.32 respectively.
