Meet Anne Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita, the new star in the Afro-NYS Scandal Season II who was paid 59 million shillings by the National Youth Service (NYS) for supplying ‘nothing’.
The story of Anne is more interesting than that of Josephine Kabura, the star who used to carry money in sacks from NYS during the Afro-NYS Scandal Season I. This one, has outdone all of them in terms character, style and ‘luck’ is stealing public funds.
In the wake of 10.5 billion shillings ‘disappearing’ mysteriously from the accounts of National Youth Service (NYS), detectives have now narrowed down to 30 suspects whom they believe are the authors, actors and promoters of the looting film.
Back to the story of the amazing 30 –year-old Anne who has joined the league of renowned cartels who are looting this country dry. According to Anne, she has never applied to tender anything for NYS or any other government institution, she has a company on paper that that does not have an office.
How did she get paid 59 million shillings then? Easy. She says she majestically walked into the NYS headquarters, asked for the procurement officer to allow her ‘supply the goods.’ Goods here maybe be general because she may have as well supplied her biological goods if you know what I mean.
Her order was taken down. She was to ‘supply’ foodstuffs, stationery, hammers, and firewood. Next thing she saw was 59 million shillings into her bank account through her officeless company, Annwaw Investment. What a lucky girl.
Anne is now among 43 people believed to have benefited from the NYS loot and being probed by the DCI. Already the Public Principal Secretary Lilian Mbogo Omollo and the NYS Director General Richard Ndubai, have gone on compulsory leave.
As the Afro-NYS Scandal Season II goes on ladies and gentlemen, let us pay our taxes. The thieves need to continue stealing and they won’t be able if we stopped paying taxes. Let us be law abiding Citizens and pay taxes.
